Most of what we photograph is full wedding days. Elopements are the other half of why we do this. Two people, an officiant, a place worth the drive. We keep these days small on purpose. One planning call, a timeline built backward from sunset, and the two of you actually in the landscape instead of standing at the edge of one.
How much does an elopement photographer cost in Texas?
Elopement photography with us begins at $2,500. That covers a short ceremony and portraits in one location, with a full edited gallery. Longer days and travel add from there. For comparison, our full wedding collections begin at $8,000, and most wedding couples invest between $9,000 and $14,000.

Where should you elope in the Texas Hill Country?
Start with Wimberley, Dripping Springs, and Fredericksburg. All three sit between 30 and 90 minutes from Austin, with cypress creeks, limestone canyons, and oak pastures close by. We photographed Jasmin and Grant's wedding in Wimberley and keep a shortlist of quiet Hill Country spots we scout ourselves.
Public land takes planning. Hamilton Pool Preserve requires a reservation, often weeks out. State parks post gate hours and permit rules. Private ranches around Dripping Springs rent by the hour. We sort all of this on the planning call so the paperwork is finished before the day arrives.
Do you travel for elopements?
Yes. We photograph elopements anywhere. Recent work includes Costa Rica, San Francisco, and Charlotte. Travel is quoted per trip, and multi-day destination weddings are custom, typically $18,000 and up. If you are marrying outside Texas, send the place and the date and we will reply with a plain number.

How do you legally elope in Texas?
Get a marriage license from any Texas county clerk, wait 72 hours, then marry within 90 days. The license runs about $80, less with a state premarital course. Texas requires an officiant but no witnesses. That is the whole legal side. The rest is location, light, and lunch.

What does elopement coverage include?
Every elopement includes a planning call, a location shortlist with sunset times, a timeline we build backward from the light, coverage of the ceremony and portraits, and a private gallery of fully edited photographs. Allie and I both shoot when the day calls for it.

How many hours do we need for an elopement?
Two hours covers a ceremony and portraits in one location. Add a second location, a first look, or dinner afterward and plan on three to four. We will tell you honestly if you are buying more coverage than your day needs.
What are the best months to elope in the Hill Country?
March through May and September through November. Spring brings bluebonnets, usually late March into April. Summer afternoons regularly pass 100 degrees, so July and August ceremonies should start within two hours of sunset. Winter light is clean and locations are easier to book.
Can we elope now and have a reception later?
Yes, and plenty of couples do. We photograph the elopement now and the reception when it happens. If the later celebration grows into a full wedding, our collections begin at $8,000.
We take a limited number of weddings and elopements each year. If your date is open, we will hold it while we talk.
